Windows Live Writer
I found a very interesting tool to write articles on Ideaticus.com : Windows Live Writer. I have to admit that I’m rarely impressed by Microsoft software and in this case I really am.
First of all it was extremely easy to connect this software to my WordPress and if someone has more then one site it’s very easy to manage multiple WordPress instances.
I like the whole idea of managing my blog from this application. The interface is very friendly, writing space is very generous, with a nice spell checker and maybe the most important thing, your write the article with the style used on the live site. I start writing this article and because I have a lot of things to do in the same time, I saved it as draft, closed the application and later I was able to load this draft and continue writing.
Maybe other people will ask: "Why another desktop tool when you already have the web interface?" My answer is pretty simple: because it looks much more easier for me and I don’t need to type passwords. The WYSIWYG feeling is closer to reality then the one you have on the web site. I’m didn’t get some nasty errors while writing strange text like piece of code.
Give it a try! Go to http://writer.live.com/, download it and just sit back and relax. This time it really works.
